Rojo announces at Web 2.0

Rojo CEO Chris Alden presented at the Web2.0 conference yesterday and we officially announced the company and started our invite-beta trials. So far the conference has been fantastic and the energy in the sessions is unlike anything we've seen since the 2000. Perhaps people are finally recovered from the dot com burst hangover. Gian M. Fulgoni of comScore presented some charts that show Internet usage and Internet revenue growth continue their march to the upper right unabated. There certainly was no sign of slowing down from Jeff Bezos, John Doerr, or Bill Gross who spoke on the main stage. We don't think there's ever been a better time to be an Internet company. Thanks to John Battelle, Tim O'Reilly and everyone else at Web2.0 for putting on what has already been a fantastic conference.

Thanks also to the bloggers who have been some of the first to cover us, including Jeremy Zawodny, who did a nice transcript of the talk, and Marc Canter, who provided a pic of the event. Carrick Mundell, Steven M. Cohen, Denise Howell, Niall Kennedy, and Ding Deng have said they are checking us out--we hope you like Rojo! And thanks to Ross Mayfield for the props.

We came across Rojo by looking at the logs of our website. Only this morning we decided to check out the website. Congratulations on the launch of the company. It is indeed true that we need better ways to organize and read online content. Good luck!
